Hi Mal
Ohh crikey! I don't know whether to hope Wojtek read that or not. A 1:32 Whirlwind! - It'll be pistols at dawn between us to review it! (And you're ex-Army... Heeeelllppp! )
All the best

Someone must do the Whirlwind soon! That is aswell as Airfix scaling down their Mossie to 1/32.
I'm a crack shot as well, so no contest
Seriously though a whirlwind must be on someones cards For the time being though I'm very happy with the prospect of the Gladiator

While the Whirlwind wouldn't fit with the Silverwings brand, there are signs of people working on one.
Or you could do it the hard way...

Thanks for those links Ben, I might just give it a go. The problem is that you can bet your bottom dollar that if I were to build it someone would produce an injected version the day after I finished it.
It does also show why we need an injected version, it's a wonderful looking aircraft. I'll have to sew the seeds with other masters builders that I know

Westland Whirlwind seems to be interesting too and it fits Silver Wings brand but I have even more interesting plans for the future, especially 1:32 scale

Hi again
Nahh! - forget all this Black Widow talk! What I'd really love to see in future from Silver Wings is a 1:32 Hawker Hart or Demon!
All the best

I agree- I'd like to see interwar aircraft that are unlikely to be made by mainstream manufacturers.
A Tiger Moth would be good, though the Revell one can be used as a basis for a scratch-detailed build already.
A series of 1/32 Schneider Cup types would be cool- from Sopwith Schnieder to Supermarine S.6, some nice Italian entries too.
Although just outside your time range of 1914-1939, I'd love a 1/32 Napier Heston Type 5.

I too will not be disapointed with those choices
I'm not sure how much I can say, the mastermodeller who's efforts I saw is really into the P-61. It was probably about 2-3 years ago and I know that he is very busy doing plenty of other work, so I'm not sure how much more he has done. I will ask him how it's coming along when I next speak to him, but please don't hold your breath. Wouldn't a 1/32 scale p-61 be awsome though

Too late Mal, I'm holding my breath now. The dull THUD you might hear is me falling off my chair in a minute or so.
Thanks for the info, it will be worth the wait I'm sure.
Cheers, D
