just wondering if anyone has built this kit, or if anyone knows if their are some aftermarket upgrades for it?

well i got no response to this question posted months ago so i set out to improve the kit myself, the main bugbears of the kit are the nose is to thin, not wide enough considering it's a Rolls Royce Griffon Merlin and the spinner was overly large so with this in mind i trawled the internet looking what upgrades were available in 1/72 scale to overcome the kits short comings, i settled on some upgrades from quickboost, most notably the mk XIV griffon merlin engine cover (QB 72 157) designed for the fujimi kit but i adapted it to fit. and the mk XIV propeller w/tool (QB 72 164) which is designed for the Academy kit but again it fit perfectly the other two upgrades were a squadron canopy and true details bulged resin wheels, because i didn't fancy trying to clean up the mold seam bisecting the tire! well enough of the rambling on to the pics!
