It's certainly not cheap, but there's potentially very exciting news from Model Hobbies with the release of a 1:48 Horsa by Fonderie Miniatures.

Mine turned up this morning! Hannants have reduced theirs to £59.99 which is probably still a bit steep for whats in the box! My kit is very crude (just like the halifax, if not worst) And while i appreciate this is a limited run kit it's pretty bad! The canopies in my box (theres 2!) are both badly bubbled and scuffed (and NOT see through) to the point of despair! Doh and i was really hoping they'd done good with this one!

Hi Andrew
Welcome to Aeroscale - it's great to have you with us!
That is really disappointing to hear about the Horsa! I was hoping FM might have raised their standards, but to read that they've actually slipped back (Jean-Luc said a similar thing about one of their earlier kits) is very depressing.
All the best
Rowan

Hi Nick
The best one I've got is the Lockheed Ventura (based in part on the Koster vacuform), but it's still going to take a lot of building.

Thanks for the welcome Rowan!
I've been a member for a couple of years now but i've been watching from the sidelines unfortunately, However with the rising costs of kits in recent times i felt i had to jump up and let people know! Of course those that thrive on a challenge and already have a couple of FM kits under their belts will not agree! But hey. If i knew how to post piccies i'd post a few sprue shots and a shot of those canopies!
Andrew.

Hi Andrew
I'm very pleased you've stepped off the sidelines. Do you fancy writing a short review of the kit and include the sprue-shots you mention? It'd be a very good kit to have in the database.
