I had some problems with the finish of the AMT/ERTL 1/72 scale XB-35 when I built it over three years ago. I never got rid of the rough spots on the top and bottom of the wing. I sanded the whole airplane down with fine sandpaper, and repainted it a second time back then, still a few rough spots in the finish.
Tonight I took some fine sandpaper and decided to risk sanding over these spots and then wiping with a wet paper towel. It worked! Yeah! Now my obsessive compulsive, perfectionist model building mind can better live with the way the kit looks!
Sorry for the background folks. An old dryer in the house is the only place large enough to photograph this kit! Thanks for looking three years later again! Russell
