This is the new Hobby Boss 1/48 A-7E Corsair II. This is totally built out of the box, and yes it does has its flaws…intake is flat, cockpit is soft and so on. On the up side the level of detail is pretty good. You get plenty of bombs which half will be used and markings for the VA-195 Dambusters and VA-86 Sidewinders which I’ll be using for the CAS camapign
The build went together like a charm, very little sanding and NO putty was used.
The biggest challenge was eliminating the seam lime along the center of the canopy; I scraped the seam with a hobby knife followed up using a sanding stick. (Squadron Tri-Grit #30505)
Tamiya and Model Master paints were used and clear coated with Future Floor Wax.
This will be a in-flight display, I scored a pilot from Monograms EA-6B Prowler kit.
More to follow.
Happy Modeling,
Joe

The SLUF is one of my favorite AC. I've got 5 or 6 in the stash. I'll be watching.

Thanks guys. Just finished the decals, next a oil wash followed by a dull coat. As I mentioned it just a out of box build, don't pay to much into it. Like I said it has some flaws which I did no correct. This is a simple club build.
