Hasegawa's 1/32 Ki-44II Otsu Shoki(Tojo) w/40mm Cannon. Markings are 2nd Chutai, 47th Hiko Sentai, Narimasu Airfield....

All the markings were painted on using an Paint Mask set which will be available from Warpigs Paint Mask range shortly. You can order them here through Jeff's website - http://www.modelerswarehouse.com/

Metal finish is done using Lacquers and Acrylics for the unit markings etc...

Wow! A really beautiful model. The bare metal and red make a very striking contrast.

Hi David

Lovely job! Have you got any more photos? - we should get this on the Frontpage.

All the best

I do have a couple more..

More than happy to send in the photos for the frontpage... But, its entered into the Model of the Month, so you most likely want to wait till that's over?

I second that motion! Great Shoki, Moeggo!

I am hoping to start my Hasegawa Shoki soon. Please tell us about fit and assembly? I am having an awful time with the 1/32 Ki-61 (unlike everyone else who has built it, I am having problems ).

What lacquer did you use for the metal finish?

The fit of the kit is Fantastic! The only small issue that I had was the fit of the upper cowl tab... I had to trim a bit off to get a flush fit... and that was on both kits that I have built.

I used Mr Hobby Lacquers.

Wow! This is a stunning build, and I love the subject you've chosen, too.
