Does anyone know what colour the wheel wells should be on both planes? The instructions aren't very clear on that matter.
thanks

I'm not sure about Mig 15 but 21 should have it painted dark green.

I don't have any specific Russian colours - do you know if it would be close to say RAF Dark Green or and US or Luftwaffe greens?
thanks

There is a photo on page 44 of Squadron/Signal's MiG-21 Fishbed Walk Around, Part 2 that shows the wheel well to be a light grayish-green (or greenish-gray). The caption calls it "Light Green anti-corrosion paint". While there is no identification of the aircraft or the operator, the stenciling visible in the photo is Cyrillic.
I believe I have some more photos of this area on MiG-21s on my home computer's hard drive. I will look for them in the next day or so.

i've been doing google searches on the mig 21 and it seems some were dark green, some green/grey as you mentioned and some natural metal - seems that they painted them whatever they wanted or had at the time! For the record its a Finnish air force Mig 21 but any evidence of any colour would be welcome
thanks
