So with less than a month to go before the official start of the " Wings Over Water " campaign, I wanted to ask you guys(and girls) what are the kits that will be presented for this event?

I dont quite know what I am planning on making but my Revell 1/48 F-4J does come to mind. The only thing I do not want to do is build the same kit someone else will build so if anyone was going to make the F-4J, by all means go with it. I'll pick another lol.

Hi Zach

I'm still planning on building the Classic Airframes 1/48 de Havilland Sea Hornet N.F. Mk 21. :-)

I was thinking of doing a Skyraider as well, but work's getting busier, so that might be a bit ambitious...

All the best

:-) I had planned on doing a Skyraider but I'm torn between that and a A-7 Corsair II. I have a diorama in mind for the A-7 so might do that to get it started :-)

In 72nd scale I will do a 72nd scale SH-60B Seahawk. In 48th scale for the 2nd project, have not quite decided which kit to go with as yet, have an F-8, or an A-7 and an S-3 in mind but it depends on what research and material I have.

Well for myself...I am torn between a couple of kits....I was originally going to do an Italeri 1/48 F-14B....and turn it into a Bombcat....not much there really...just add on a Lantern pod and better weapons than whats in the kit....not the best Tomcat kit out there....but I got it cheap...so I am not complaining....however...so far I have seen that 2 other people want to do the F-14....so I may put this on a back burner.

My second choice is a 1/72 Hasagawa EA-6B Prowler....really nice kit...and I forgot I had it...lol....have toooooo many models!! Haven't seen a Prowler mentioned on here yet....

Third choice is a 1/72 Italeri SH-60B Seahawk.....however I may save that for the Helo campaign....as someone has already mentioned it on here...

And a fourth choice....something that just came to mind.....is a HobbyCraft.....(yeah I know) S2-F Grumman Tracker....but in Canadian Markings.....(forgot I had this also)....definatly would be unique....but again...its a HobbyCrap I mean Craft kit........

Hmmmm decisions decisions......someone help me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! #:-) #:-) #:-)

Hmmm I am assuming that a ficticious Navalized Avro Arrow would be out of the question hmmm? LOL

Hi Scott :-)

Now that would look NICE!!! :-) And just imagine the equally ficticious carrier it would take to launch them... if only....

All the best

Well of course it would be a elongated and updated HMCS Bonaventure that would carry the greatest naval aircraft in the world.....although I think ole Bonnie was pretty small....in her hayday she migh be able to hold 10 of those beasts....lol. We mostly used it as an ASW carrier with S-2F Trackers, I have seen some pics with 8-10 trackers on her deck.....

Mind you the Arrow would have to have folding wings and such to save on space.....would make for a very interesting project.....and as I have a HobbyCraft 1/48 Avro Arrow that I plan to modify to a modern AC....would be interesting to make a Canadian Naval varient!!

Hi Scott

I've always thought a "modern" Arrow deserves a re-worked cockpit area to give a clear view in the "back seat"... :-)

If only the RAF had had the sense to order them, it would have looked pretty tasty confronting "Badgers" over the North Sea... :-)

Just think... they'd still probably (just) be in service...

Now, how about a TSR-2 in Gulf War markings (or even a Naval variant :-))

Dream on...

I was going to do the 1/72 Italeri HH-60H, but I see someone has listed a Seahawk already. Well then it will be the Corsair or Phantom, or maybe a Sandy. I think I may have a float plane around as well somewhere.

I have a huge collection of unbuilt US Navy aircraft, but I've narrowed it down to 2 kits, thank god my hand is free of it's cast!

1) Revell's 1/48 A-6 Intruder. Cockpit will be Verlinden, ordenance will be Hasegawa, decals will more than likely be Yellowhammer (only game in town with A-6 decals, would prefer a Desert Storm or a Kosovo Intruder, but I have to settle for some peace time markings)

2) Tamiya's 1/32 F-14. VF-84 Jolly Rogers markings of course. Kit decals, Teknic's pit. It'll look good next to my Academy Hornet (another kit that was delayed by my broken hand)

Hi folks,

I'll be making a 1/48 Tamiya SHAR(Sea Harrier) FRS 51 in Indian Navy Markings. 606 from the No 30 White Tigers Sdn, flying off the INS Viraat.

Cheers,
BP.
