Flyboys:
This is my first jet and the instructions suck big time so if you guys and gals don't mind I'm going to be picking your brains for awhile.
#1 anybody know of any pictures of the F86F cockpit.
#2 did the pilot seat have cushions.
#3 they say to paint the cockpit gray and flat black, is this right.
I'm sure I'll have more dumb questions.

Hi my long lost twin brother:

#1. checkout www.aircraftresourcecenter.com, they have plenty of pics of Saber finished models, I sometimes use them as reference
#2 I have no idea
#3 The cockpit is Flat Black for most of the USAF Sabers before 1953 I think, but for export version, it's painted gray, eg/ the ROCAF ones. the firewalls, and the cockpit is gray.

There's a book I check-out from the library so often I should just buy one, it's nothing but beautifully done cockpit photos. It's from the Air & Space museum, I'm 97.3% sure the cockpit you want is in there. Sorry I don't know the specific name.
