Ok, I'm in. I was #8 so just two more to make it official. 142 more to beat the big cats campaign from over at Armorama.

2 more to go and I can make this official.
While I have no doubt that we'll get the required 10 enlistees I somehow doubt we'll beat the Big Cats total

I was number 10, so we should be official. Now to decide on what kit to build and what markings to use.

But first finish the P-47 for the dressed up campaign.

I've added my name to the list and intend on doing 2 of the RAF/SEAC birds, as a Razorback and the Bubbletop using the 48 scale Tamiya kits.

Having built this from the Hasegawa kit of the SEAC P47 some time ago and only recently just finished it due to commitments with other projects and exhibitions.
Incidently this is not trick photography - I replaced the kit prop shaft with a brass tube and when I took this pic a slight breeze spun the prop.

Hi everybody! I was looking for this campaign and finally found it. I built this 1/72 scale Italeri P-47N over the weekend. Thought it was a pretty good kit, tried to build it quickly, hope it doesn't look it! The decals were great, I wish all decals were as good as this kits.

The airplane represents one from the 507th fighter group based on Iwo Jima. I chose that base since my dad "visited" Iwo Jima in February of 1945 as a Marine. He wasn't interested in going back as far as I could tell. Hope you enjoy the kit. Russell
