Hi
Was there any noticeable external differences between the A5 and A6 at all? All I've found is the internal wing structure was changed in the A6.
thanks
Mike

Most obvious is the change of the MG FF for the MG 151 or 151/20 in the outboard wing gun bay ...

Thanks!
So that means the outer gun barrels in the A5 should be a bit shorter then?
thanks

No as it has a different ammo feed it also has a differnt panel under the wing (looks really different)
MG FF drum, spent cartriges collected internally (bulged panel)
MG 151 belt fed, cartriges also internally collected but the leftovers of the belt were thrown out (IIRC) - panel rather flat but has some other bulges and ejector slots

I have compared the 1/72 Hobby Boss A6 and AZ models A4 that I have in my stash and i can see the difference you mean. The A6 is much like the A8 and the A4 looks similar to the A3 in the respect you mention.
It now makes me wonder if an A5 can be made from a Tamiya A3. I know the A5 were slightly longer but would this be noticable in 1/72? Also are there any other major external differences between the A3 and A5?
I have a load of spare decals to make A5's!
thanks
