One of the new year good resolution was trying to complete as much as possible of the many builds began in 2009.

Here is an Eduard Hellcat, in Drone guise. These planes were used to measure radiations during the Hydrogen bomb testing of 1946, in Bikini. The colored tails were used to quick iD which radio frequency was used to control the plane.

Modifications are a higher tail wheel leg, some additional control wire startin from a frame atop tail, weapons deleted, as well as colimator and tail hook. Kit prop, spinner and wheels replaced with Ultracast parts.

I just recently stumbled on the story of these drones and thought how cool it would be to build one especially since I've never seen them before. Now it seems like I'm seeing them a lot more. You've done a stunning job on this one. If I ever choose to do one of these I hope I can do it as much justice as you have. Bravo, well done.
