Here's my latest aircraft, completed almost a year ago, Accurate Miniatures' 1:48 Il-2 Shturmovik, #3409. It was my first attempt at weathering and I think I did a half-decent job here. Its story is as follows:
"This model depicts the single-seater version of the Soviets' infamous Il-2 Shturmovik ground attack aircraft. It was painted white in the beginning of winter, 1941, but months of weather and war have stripped the paint down to the original camouflage. It was also outfitted with skis to accommodate for the rough Soviet airstrips in the dead of winter."
