How to paint the "Camo" on the F-22

I have a italeri f-22 1/72 and I am stumped on how to paint the camo on the plane

The spot of darker gray anyone have anyways that you have done it

I would use Blu-tac or similar material to make the outlines of the dark spots, and cover the rest with adhesive notepad papers. Roll the Blu-Tac into long worms, and put them around the pattern, since they are not completely rubbed down to the surface, this method will provide you with a slight realistic feathered edge.

That's what I would do (I am actually going to do this to paint the British V-pattern on my Whirlwind).

Pretty much what Gaborka said with a twist. I would paint the plane overall in the lighter of the two colors and then roll out the blue tack/ silly putty and paint the inside areas of the darker colors. If you crank the nozzle down on your airbrush (Provided that is what you are using) you can get in tight to the masking to establish the demarcation of the colors then slowky work your way towards the center filling things in as you go.
