Stunning stuff!! :-) These kind of first-hand testimonials are truly something to be treasured...
When I was a kid, I was lucky enough to know Ron Moody - a pilot with 601 Squadron ( the only RAF squadron to fly the P-39). Despite my age, he realised my honest interest and did his best to give me an accurate impression of what WW2 air-combat was like (forget the 1 Shilling - 1$ comic books).
As (military) modellers, we should always remember the human cost...
