As most of you will probably know that a new Hungarian company, KP Models, plans to re-issue many if not all of the kits made by Kopro Prostejov Models. Modelimex are to stock the new brand. KP Models, will use old plastic parts from Kopro Prostejov, but all models will have new boxes, new decals and instructions.

There are 3 East European kit makers or decal companies that offer a great range of products, but they do not ship outside of their own countries.
Bilek Czech Republic
HAD Hungarian Decals
KP Kopro Czech
I seriously would like to find some away of getting kits from these. They have websites and they have purchase capability, but unless you live in these countries you cannot get an order placed.
Tried email to Bilek but it bounced back
Any help or source of the following would be most welcome;
Bilek Gripen C/D 1:72
HAD Gripen decal 1:72
KP Kopro Mig 23BN 1:72
Bilek Czech Republic
HAD Hungarian Decals
KP Kopro Czech

Pocketbond probably import them. Ask your LHS as they seem to only deal with shops. Just a thought.

Hi Alan
Modelimex have a good range of Bilek kits along with the KP stuff from the News item, including the Gripen.
All the best

Hi again Alan
What a shame - it said "low stock" when I posted the link. Somebody beat you to it!

I have registered and submitted my request, so here's hoping to get my Gripens when they become available
I see this company is Czech based, so Bilek and Kopro should be available as they are local
I might well be ordering more of those quirky East European aircraft in future to close gaps in my collections

Hi Alan.
Yes the Grippen looks very good. I have just bought the HobbyBoss 1/72 Rafale and I was thinking of buying the Typoon II and Grippen as well as they all seemed to have grown up together.
Take care.

My parcel arrived Monday, very quick considering the two Bilek Gripens were out of stock
I have glanced through the contents and now planning my build schedule for around January
I am a happy customer
