Hi,

Just remeberthat only by April/ May 1941 was issued a RLM directive to change every Luftwaffe aircraft cockpit to RLM 66. Few exceptions to this rule occured, mainly in second line multipurpose aircraft.
Untill tis order came, the standard cockpit colour was RLM 02, only the instrument panels use RLM 66 & other dark hues.
Hope this elped

Best

The date might make a difference. It could have been produced (just) before the RLM designated 02 (sometime in 1938,but I stand to be corrected as I can't check at the moment).
There is some discussion that early 109s,particularly in Spain may have had a lot of areas we would normally assume to have been in 02 finished in an aluminium coloured laquer. I'll try to check cockpits this evening.
Cheers
Steve
