I normally get not much views or responses on my industry news here, but anyway here is a link to a few sprue shots of the brand new Revell B-17 G
The tool is "made in Korea" and Volker likes it very much

Thanks for sharing this info Steffen !
I must say , never being a big fan on Revell kit's , this one looks very nice indeed . Sperate control surfaces is a great touch to the kit . Detail in the fuselage halves is well done . Will be looking forward to this kit coming out

Hi Steffen,
Contrary to how you might feel, the sprue shots are much appreciated.
Revell's recent releases seem to offer just about the best value for your money - high quality, reasonable prices.

this looks to be a very comprehensive kit indeed, nice to see a new B-17G in 1/72, now if only they could do a new tooling of their dated B-17F i bought the kit years ago opened the box and was very disheartened by the raised rivets and toylike appearence and the dissappointing dipiction of the ball turret made me consign it to the 'build when hell freezes over pile' now if they could give us a new tooling of the G and F in 1/48 i'd be a very happy modeller indeed

Man what a gathering ... more than all my pervious test shot posts together.
I talked to another person yesterday and sadly it seems the designer of the kit got some things wrong (tooling is perfect, but when you have the wrong data ....) The wing depth/profile is not correctable. The window arrangement on the nose might be a job for the AM companies. Some other stuff is easy to change.
Other versions will follow (and are already tooled).
all the best
