If I can get a Catalina by then, I'll make sure to join

A Catalina would by a great entry, Jeremy. That bird has been a welcome sight for a lot of sailors and pilots ending up in the soup.
Hope you find a suitable kit

Jesper: My sentiments exactly
It looks like the 1/72 Academy kit or 1/48 Revell kit will build up nicely, going to do some more research. I'm open to any thoughts guys

Great idea Keith. I'm a newbie here but am in with an Airfix Sea King and a Matchbox Dauphin, both 1/72.
Best wishes,
Dermot
