I just wanted to say thanks for all the things that I've learned from the many great modelers on this web site over the past year or so.My latest stretching sprue. After many failed attempts in the past and finally after searching this site which directed me to a few you-tube vids on the subject and tonight for the first time i actually did it and they came out great. So 6ft of stretched sprue later! what can i say it was just so much fun trying to get each pc.longer and longer I had to stop myself .

So thanks aeroscale and all of the great modelers on here who share there techniques with everyone

Six feet? Remind me not to try swapping fish stories with you.

I tried to stretch sprue years ago and failed miserably. Finding the U-tube and the suggestions here got me to try it again. My first try yielded about 4 in of usable sprue that went into filling gaps on my P-40's wing root. So, let me add my thanks to Justin's

Can you post the links to the videos? I've tried it in the past and failed miserably. I'd like to give it another shot.

Dirk, check out this thread. Lots of ideas and hints. More than halfway down is a link to a YouTube showing one guy's technique.
