I scored this beauty at a hobby shop close by. 1/48 scale and 12 bucks she cost me, of my hard earned American currency. I am wondering if anyone has built this one before? Anything I should know before I built this cutey pie?

:-) I am building this kit for the AoA campaign. Looks like a nice kit but a little crude in places. For example the foot steps and the ground handling loops (?), I have cemented them in position, to fill their location slots, and will cut them off and replace them with wire. The cockpit is also a little on the sparse side, I am intending to turn the instrument panel over and replace the soft molded detail with a couple of etched brass bezzles and decal instruments. Worst part of the kit is the machine guns, I'm contemplating drilling out the cooling jacket and addind the slots, (I don't have any PE jackets). It will be interesting to see if it is possible. :-)

hi all
I saw this kit in the shops today...
Is it a Revell original or a re-box of the Dragon kit from a few years ago? ... or something much older (Aurora??).
The box was sealed so I couldn't check the parts...
All the best

:-) Might be Aurora, a bit to crude to be Dragon. To be honest I have'nt a clue. Mine cost me £6.50 :-)

The Revell 1/48 is a re-worked Aurora. Problem is, it's closer to 1/45 or 1/46, and the top wing ( and perhaps the lower, I don't remember) is a constant thickness (should taper from the ends of the center section to the tips). If you can ignore these points. . .
