I was wondering what you guys would recommend for a Catalina build and why?
I am looking at:
1/72 Academy
1/48 Revell/Monogram

Thanks in advance!

FWIW, I have the Academy and the Airfix 1/72 in the stash. Haven't gotten to either of them, but I go for 1/72 just for the space savings.

The academy 72 scale is really quite nice, but kinda big.

I have 3 of the 48 scale revell/mono boxings, but have not built yet.

If space is a concern go for the 72 scale, if not, go big...

The nice thing about the 1/72 Academy kit is that it would make a great companion for my 1/72 Gato sub

However I am also liking the size of the 1/48 RMX kit, it just fits so perfectly in my hands... not that I'd be playing with it or anything... seriously, I really won't....

Any other thoughts out there guys? I saw Justin's (aka keeperofsouls) 1/48 Revell build feature and it was awesome! Just not sure if it validates dedicating that space to it

Thanks.I have that one and a 1/48 b1 that I built for the 3 b's campaign I won't build them again they take up a lot of space.but they do look really cool on the top of the display cases.

Nice! Mine will have to remain airborne so to speak as my display cases and shelves barely stick out a foot from the wall
