Just put a coat of paint on my Banshee and it's looking pretty good so far.

Joe, can't see your photos. Try uploading them again. If you have trouble ask for help, you'll get some I am sure. Russell

I've got an F2H-2 project on deck, so I'd love to see the pics, but all I'm getting is a pair of red X's.

Looks great! You've got to love the shape of the Banshee! Is that a 48 or 72 scale kit, I'm guessing the larger. Good job. Russell

Actually it's the 1/72 scale kit, if they make a 1/48 scale kit I sure would be interested though, it's a great bird!

Nice one Joe, keep us updated please. I have never built a Banshee, really ought to acquire one. Thanks for posting.

72 scale Joe, great! I wouldn't mind building one myself. I think the Canadians operated off a rather smaller carrier during the operation of the Banshee, with higher landing and takeoff speeds, they did well indeed. Russell

They did indeed. The Bonnie was only about 20,000 tons. In fact US Banshee pilots would generally avoid landing on the Bonaventure if at all possible due to the small deck size.

Thought that I read somewhere that the Banshee was the only jet fighter operated by the RCN.

It was, but the RCN quit operating fighters in the early 60's. If the Bonaventure hadn't been converted to an ASW carrier the Banshee's would probably have been replaced by Scooters.

Now that makes for a nice "what if".
