Hi all.
November 4 is the data in which WW1 ended in Italy.
Since 1918 it has aso become Armed Forces Day when our serviceman can show off some of their business.
Now, I'll let you imagine my wonder when I found myself suddenly in front of Francesco Baracca's SPAD replica right in the real center of Milan !!

Unfortunately I was not allowed to get closer...

ciao
Edo

Hi all!
I don't have any new photo of the plane, but I do have some information for you that I think may be interesting.
If you wish to see some footage of the Spad restoration, please chek the following site:
www.museodelpiave.it
it is the site of the Piave Museum dedicated to the battles fought along the Piave river during WW1. Unfortunately it is only in Italian but I think it is easy enough to understand. On the left hand side there are some links that will lead you to the Spad restoration page with some very interesting material.

I wrote the museum today to ask for further pics of the restoration and / or blueprints they used and, if I am luky enough, I hope to receive permission to share them with you. I'll keep in touch.

In the meanwhile, here is Baracca Square in Milan, with the statue dedicated to the pilot.

Ciao
Edo
