Hi all, Imbuilding a F/A18-c Hornet from Academy Ive checked out thecolours in the instructions and found them a bit vague I have the following colours would any of them be ok for the cockpit grey.
Tamyia XF66 light grey
Tamyia XF54 dark sea grey
Humbrol medium sea grey
any help would be appreciated.

Do you have a FS Fan deck?
Cockpit gray for US Modern jets is FS36231, so what ever of those matches best...

I got mine years ago when I was AD USAF. All my other model buddies picked up their fans decks through Meteor Productions when they were still in business.
Have a look here. Once you open the PDF file, look up FS 36231 and see if your Tamiya paints are a match, or which one is.

When were you USAF and where? I was 83-91 at Grand Forks, Vance, and Offutt.
I have an old FS595 fan, as well as the sheets. Handy...
