Here is my entry into the Big Beautiful Bombers Campaign. It is the Minicraft Consolidated B-24L. I always liked the 24 and thought it was at least as good looking a machine as the B-17! That will generate some comments most likely.

It is painted in colors of the 490th bomb group, 8th air force, England. I don't have any codes for the tail and I am having some problems locating tail codes for this group anyway.

Hope you all enjoy looking at her. It was another fun build. Russell

P.S. It is a tail sitter, actually sitting on the over rotation skid on the underside of the fuselage. There didn't seem to be enough room for adding too much weight. Oh well.

Looks good. Sorry about the tail sit. I've got 2 or 3 of the Academy B-24's in the stash, I'll have to look out for nose weights..

Thanks Mark, I don't know what to tell you on the B-24 weight problem. It is hard to stuff enough weight into that nose with all the glass showing everything inside, know what I mean? Thanks for looking at my work. Russell

I would think about adding weight into any area I could forward of the main landing gear. Even the in the engine cowlings, bombs etc. I will have the same problem when I build mine but thats what I'm thinking.

thanks
Mike
