Here is the Minicraft 1/144 scale Lockheed Super Constellation. It wasn't a bad kit, but the decals, here we go again, the decals broke on me in a couple of places. Along the long stripe on the fuselage for instance. I pieced it back together and found that the rest of the decals were equally fragile. Oh well. What is one to do. The model came out alright though, I posted some photos on the Civilian Planes only Campaign. Here are some more. Hope you enjoy looking. Russell

I dunno how the civvy guys do it. I'm totally cack handed with decals too.

Love the Connie. Would do mine in Aer Lingus livery.

But then I'd probably do every plane in Aer Lingus livery given the chance.

Nice work, I have one of these in Navy dress in the stash. I hope to get to it soon.

I hate it when the decals come apart but you did a great job on the model. Eastern had beautiful markings back then. Here's a bit of nostalgia:

I think the Super Connie is the best looking airliner ever. I have one in 1/72 scale that I plan to do in Cubana De Aviacion markings from 1953. Cubana was a sub of Pan Am and eventually went solo about 1950 or 51. I had the decals custom made by a company in Miami. I will be using the old Heller kit and I'm debating if I will scribe the panel lines to get rid of the raised ones. Seems like a ton of work.
