what do you call the bilateral stitching on the side of a Nieuport 17 fuselage? I am trying to find a better way to replicate other then decals and do not have a clue on how to search for info, thanks.

Greetings David,
These are "cheek fairing lacings". (in English) not stitching.

Check out Archer Dry Transfers. They carry a line called "Surface Details" that are 3D resin on thin decal film. One or two of the sheets are tailored to WWI aircraft fabric stitching. They are very easy to use, and really look great.
