Hi al,l im building Academys FA/18c Hornet I was looking at the cockpit and found it has a duel cockpit but when I checked the sprues, only one seat one joystick and only the pilots control panel is this right its going to look a bit weird with only half the office decorated.must add I know nothing about this plane.

sounds odd but the extra seat is to build the D upgrade variant as the second officer was only used for weapons systems. The C was a single seat plane.

looks like i will have to buy an AM cockpit, bit annoying, why produce a cockpit set up as a two seater but not supply the second seat and control panels and like you say the C is a single seater.sorry for ranting on but im unemployed and AM stuff is a bit pricey

If I understood you correctly, there's no need to buy an aftermarket cockpit.
The same cockpit is used for both the single seater and the two seater (in fact, most of the parts are common to both versions).
For the single seater, only the front cockpit is populated so you only need one seat, etc.
The rear cockpit gets covered over by the rear deck (part C8) so you don't actually see it once the kit is finished.
