I got an Apache stashed, will be working on it soon. Since it's a pain for me to get paints here, I may as well start looking now. Has anyone painted one, from what I can see their color schemes have ever changed since deployment, but I can't really identify the color. What colors should I be looking for if I'm using Tamiya acylics or Revell enamels?

The only out of the bottle match I know of is Testors Model Master US Army Helo Drab, FS34031. They have it in both their acrylic and enamel lines. The acrylic one is closer to the actual color.

My son-in-law works on the Apache at Ft. Knox. The following link is to some photos I took while visiting him. Their not the greatest quality, but may help you out as reference for your build...I believe the Alpha model is shown.

Thanks Gino, Im going for it, I think I have something in a similar tone, but I'm playing it safe. As for 11charlie your walkaround is incredibly helpful, it's a million times better than the walkaround available on the aeroscale site. It's going to be a great guide for weathering.
