Hi all
as I just posted my stuff over at HS PP I think it is also a good idea to have a similar thread here on Aeroscale (Kitmaker). This is what I finished this year. There is a buiId log or at least a thread with most of them here. I finished 17 ˝ (I counted the Pitts half for the last year). And yes I include my mil-stuff here too...
WW1
WW2
other
Military
It was a good year from the modelling point of view ... else - well I better do not complain.
Of course I have many others started ...
all the best

Hello Damian and Carlos
Many thanks for your kind coments!
but I rather though that everyone should post his/her finished models in this thread ... so come on, don't be shy and show your stuff!

Here you go then,
5 completed this year, although 2 of these were under construction during 2009.
First to finish was a 5thERS Tamiya P-47 with Loon models dinghy packs.
National markings and squadron codes painted on.
Jan- May was taken up with 2 builds.
A Tamiya P-51B in 4thFG ace Kidd Hofers markings.
A slight conversion of the Tamiya D-25 to become the P-47K bubbletop prototype.
August saw me finally finish my 1:24th VFS P-47. 18 month build in total although I estimate 12 months of that was "thinking about finishing it" time.
Last completed build of the year is another Razorback. Fred Christensens "Rozzie Geth"
Again, all national markings and squadron codes are painted on, as is the name "Rozzie Geth"
Rozzie Geth II and another Mustang on the bench aiming for a January finish ( yeah right!)

So Nige and me are the only ones who finished anything?
No wonder Aeroscale is as slow as it is. All are just lurking doing nada.
Hey Rowan, I know you are busy with other things but you said you finished a few this year, tractors count too so show them!

Ok Steffen, I managed to sneak a few in this year, all Campaign builds.
Roden 1/48 Gladiator for Aces High 2
Hasegawa 1/32 G-10 for Bf 109
1/50 Heller and 1/48 testors Cessna O-2A for Twin Boom
Monogram 1/48 P-47 "What If?" for Origami
Another Monogram 1/48 P-47 for Pacific Thunder on the SIG
Revell 1/48 P-61 for Pin-Ups
Monogram 1/48 Cessna A-37 Dragonfly for Close Air Support
Matchbox 1/72 He 115 for Sea Planes
And for something a bit different
AMT 1/24 Plymouth for Demolition Derby
Some of these were started in 2009 and finished early this year, but I've had a fun year at the bench and sharing it with the Kitmaker mob has been great.
Cheers, D

Ok, I finished one plane, and a few figures.
Eduard Bf 110E (started a couple of years ago).
The Punisher.
Two Star Wars figures. Haven't got a pic of Han Solo.
Mk-1 Ironman.
And Scale 75's Crusader.
I think thats it for me, I'm hoping next year will be more productive .

Hey Anze (and this holds true for everyone)
the numbers don't matter as long as you have fun and finish one or another ... once in a while!
Great builds guys!
Thats why I like such threads: you see what others did over the year and also remember some of your own experiences ..... so keep modelling, keep having fun and keep posting pix, BLogs and comments on Aeroscale
all the best

17 ˝, that's a quite bunch! I wish I was that productive.
Well, let's see what I got done this year...
Starting off with two builds that probably shouldn't be counted as halfs, more like quarters perhaps, since basically just finishing touches were done during 2010.
T-70 (1:35)
Bf 109 G-6 (1:72)
Bristol Blenheim Mk.I (1:72)
He 111 H-6 (1:72)
Curtiss R3C-0 (1:48)
Grumman Hellcat F6F-3 (1:48)
Bf 109 G-6 (1:48)

Nice collection Eetu!
And I only count finished things but as last year was very slow I counted that almost done Pitts then as half (of 9½ ). I finished a few very old projects (e.g. the Albatros D.V or the Gaz-67b) so again what counts is that you finished something.
all the best

Hi Steffen
A great gallery of builds from everyone!
Tractors were last year and never posed for the camera! I managed a few kits this year, which makes a nice change. An Fw 183, Fw 190 and Global Hawk are all lurking on Aeroscale somewhere. I also built up Dragon's Bf 110, Platz's Skyhawks and some Airfix 54mm figures (never photographed), along with a few Revell sci-fi items (but they were snap together, so don't count!). I'm sure there was another victim, but it escapes me...
The last quarter of the year has been difficult modelling-wise, through health problems with my family and my partner, so there's been next to no time at the workbench. Czech Models' F-80 and the GWH fw 189 are both close to completion - and I've part-built three of the new Dragon 1:32 Bf 109Es as test-shots - each one overtaken by updated parts! I might actually finish one the b*ggers if they ever stop revising it! Dohh! I'm the one suggesting half the revisions!
All the best
Rowan

As usual I didn't reach this year's target of six finished models, it has become kind of a tradition... Anyway, four finished isn't THAT bad...
Airfix Spitfire XIX...
...and Airfix Spitfire IX, both can be found in this blog!
Two tiny ones, Eduard...
...Me-262 A-1a...
...and Me-262 B-1a in 1/144. Blog is here!

That are some great kits!!!
Unfortunately, 2010 was a horrible year for me and I only got a bronco predator 1/48 finished early this year.
I hope that next year will be better

I've had other distractions this year, so haven't been on kitmaker much and my years output is down on last year! But i still got a few done.
Just finished this one, WNW SE5a.
And another WNW's from earlier.
I did not like the Roden Strutter single seater and just rushed it to call it finished. Not my best.
Eduard Albatros
Italeri 1/48 AB41
Airfix 1/72 Stuka...nostalgia build.
ICM Spitfire Mk.VIII
Tamiya Spitfire Vb
Special Hobby Spitfire Vc
Tamiya Porsche 959
Mirage 1/48 PZL P11c
Dragon 1/35 Ferdinand
Finemolds 1/72 X-Wing
Eduard Bf110D
WNW's LVG CVI
Hasegawa 1/48 Bf109F
Hobby Craft 1/48 P26 with Starfighter decals
AM Grumman F3F-1
Revell/Matchbox Firefly
Zvezda Pe8 1/72
Revell/Matchbox M24 Chaffee
Tamiya 1/12 Ferrari 312B
Classic Airframes Brewster
Plus i also did my usual one per year X-rated female figure build which i won't even bother posting here because someone always compains and has my pic deleted- because showing killing machines is okay but half naked people are offensive.
Andrew
forgot one...the Eduard/Airfix Mk22 Spitfire
edit number 2: i just realised when looking back through these pics that i forgot to do the tail control cables on the Junkers...it really stands out in the pic.

I guess I can start with my Wingnut 1/32 LVG as though it was started in '09, it was completed in 2010 (seems like a lot longer ago).
Next, I jumped a few eras and took on another lengthy and intense project with a 1/48 Tamiya F-16C "Arctic Bandit" and tons of aftermarket extras.
After those two, I decided it was time for something a little simpler and while perusing my stash, this little Hasegawa 1/48 Ki 27 Nate jumped out at me. Fun project! Not OOB though as there were a few extras added - mainly a resin cockpit and vac-form canopy.
Then there was my departure from reality with one of the "stars" of my all-time favorite sci-fi movie - "War of the Worlds" (the original). This is the 1/48 Pegasus kit.
That's it then. Didn't make much of a dent in my stash (which continues to grow) but not too bad for my snail-like pace of building.
Here's to a more productive year in 2011!
Cheers,
Eric
