Hello!

A few pictures of my two Swedish Air Force JA 37 Viggen, D62 and D25, from Jämtland Wing, F 4.

Enjoy

They both look very good
Especially the camo on 25, that is one hell of a scheme.
How good are the Heller kits ?

Very nice, more pics please! Also wondering how the Heller kits were too build, and where the figures came from.

I am really liking these, and the display is a great choice. I too am wondering where the figures are from.

Thanks for the comments!

Brian and Erik - The Heller kit is in my opinion the better one in a comparesement between the Heller and the Revell kits. I have not built the Hasegawa one. Still the Heller kit is a not really a good one, it needs quite a lot of attention including rescribing raised panels. If you look closely you will se that I had to fill a hole (!) in the canopy on D25, it pretty much says it all.

Anyhow, if you want a project for a quite rare aircraft, Heller it is the one go for. A Swedish manufacturer, Maestro Models, makes a nice range of after market for the Heller kit. Gators also makes a paint mask for the green camouflage. In this case that mask had alredy been used once, so if handeled with care its good for a few kits. For the decals I printed my own using decal sheets from Rebell.com.

Erik and Jeremy - The figures comes from my early modelling era. I think they are from an old Hasegawa kit. I removed the paint and added a few details to them.

Cheers!

Aaaaah, sweet memories from F4 and the Viggens flying over my old hometown Ostersund! Shame that that F4, I5 and A4 is closed....

Got a few Swedish 'what if' projects in the planning stages, F6 Lightning, S2 Buccaneer, TSR-2, PR.9 Canberra and a B-57 Canberra.

The Lightning and TSR-2 will be dressed in the famous splinter comuflage! The other three, we'll see.....

Excellent builds Fredrik. The camouflaged Viggen [25] looks superb. Nice weathering on 62 as well.
Well done.

Thank you all for the kind comments! The Viggen camo is quite different but sure indeed fun to make. Hopefully I can repeat it once more on my trainer version that is in the making.
