As an small plane lover, not only in static models, in rc too... and now more, I live in a new house, and is veeeeeeeeeeeery small I found this link:

http://www.skytrex.com/146/Red-Eagle-1-144th-WWI/

Some of you have some experience in those models? them are expensive to me, the money change is 1 per 20 mexican pesos!!!!!!!! but I really wish to get some models.

Any advice is welcome.

Cheers.

I scoped out their website and it seems as if decals aren't included, They seem very basic, and when I clicked on the link to their home site, I got a "service not available". I wonder if they are even in business.

It would be interesting to see if anyone on this forum has any experience with this company.

I just checked a 1/48th Gloster Gladiator and did some maths, and in 1/144th it would barely be 60mm long !!

I'm thinking most WWI aircraft were similar or smaller, I don't think I'd even be able to see them in that scale.

Are those role-playing game pieces, maybe? They are tiny, but I see that zeppelins and bombers are in their line, so maybe you those pieces are big enough to see in 1/144th scale.
Act quickly while the Spad price is 0.00 pounds! ha ha.
If I were in your place, I'd do 1/72nd scale, for WW I aircraft, even the big bombers. That would give you more complete kits and more variety.
but that's just my opinion,
-Sean.

Another 1/144 WW1 producer is Sram. I've heard their product is very decent, and also in resin.

Unfortunately I don't have more info, but there is someone on the 'net that prints 1/144 WW1 decals. I'll have to check from home as I think I have the link bookmarked there.

I just saw last night the Japanese ready-made prodcuer F-Toys also has a line of 1/144 WWI fighters. Advantage is they're already built. Disadvantage is they're already built, meaning - unless you want to take the time to strip them - you're left with whatever markings F-Toys provide them in.

Alfredo, the Skytrex aircraft are white metal war gaming kits I have one of the Spads from many years ago when I used to play. I'll see if I can find it and post a picture.

Alfredo

There is a site, www.tin-soldier.com which is a location for Revirsco. This is a company that manufactures and sells war gaming models in White Metal. Yes they are basic and yes they are small Alb D-III is 2 inches (5 cm) and the RE-8 is 2.75 inches (7+ cm), But they can be made up as detailed as you want them to be. Fun and challenging to build (I like them) Revirsco also has 1/72 WWI Vehicles!! which are great (where else can you get a 1/72 Lancaster Armored Cars, or a Thornycraft Anti-aircraft truck.
