I've been working on trumpeter's 48th scale RA-5C Vigilanti. The fit sucks and the decals seem to break just by looking hard at them. I am really disappointed. While I got the kit on sale, it wasn't cheap. I sooo wanted to make a showpiece of this aircraft too. I think it is the best looking jet ever in service. So did I just get a warped bird or are all the kits like this?

It's not really that good of a kit, in other repects as well.
I've only test fit mine, but of the 3 modelers I know who've built the the kit, they all felt along the same lines as you on the Trumpy Vig; some even worse.
Wings and fuselage are warped on my kits BTW.

Glad it ain't just me. Lots of Mr Surfacer went into this one, and piecing together the breaks in the decals wasn't fun, but at a normal distance, it looks nice. I did have to use a black sharpie to color in some of the decal breaks
