Hi James!
You have done a pretty decent paint job on the birds. And you should really have some cred for building your stock. I struggle with that for sure.
If I can give any kind of feed-back it would be on the decal side as they seam to float a little on top.
I paint my models with a glossy clear prior to adding the decals. I also use a setting solution to make them soften into panel lines an such. Thereafter I give them a few more layers of glossy clear before doing some weathering. I often lay a layer of flat to seal it all.
