I was wondering if anybody can tell me what the difference(s) between an F4F-3 and F4F-4 cockpit would be?

I have an F4F-4 model kit, but the interior PE I have is for an F4F-3 and I don't know if the two are interchangeable...

Sorry, Jeremy, just saw your post. My quess is the cockpits would be similar since the -4 was just a -3 with wing folds and two extra 50 cal. guns. From pictures, the instrument layout seems the same except for a couple of changed instruments and an extra instrument panel handle due to upgrades or prilot preference. The earlier -3 and initial -4's should have yellow-green chromate interior colors (except for the black central instrument panel and some side instrument/ circuit breaker panels), unless the plane was overhauled, when other colors, like interior green, were used. The gunsight may be the same as the -3 unless upgraded, and two of the six red machine gun charging handles at the bottom of the cockpit will be missing from the -3.
Might want to compare instructions

(though they are for different scales and manufacturers). Also, long searches on google may result in some pics. Sorry for the delay. Hope this helps, Jeremy. Good modeling, Dave
