It is the Hobby Boss kit, which is very nice to see instead of the ubiquitous (and far less accurate) Accurate Miniatures kit... The canopy width (at the top bar) is far better than on the Accurate Min. kit, from CAF pilot Rob Duncan:
22" actual= 558 mm= 1/48th: 11.6 mm actual.
AM: 10 mm HB: 11.2 mm
A 16% error for the AM kit... The HB TBF cowl is also better in accuracy than the AM effort... Neither of the later TBM cowls are really good, but the HB is far better again, and at least has the correct prop...
The tail control surfaces are here direct from the HB box, and they do not look as good (at the hinges) as tail hinges on the Accurate Miniature kit... You can cut the tail control surfaces off the Accurate Min. kit and fit them to the Hobby Boss easily. This tail hinges issue is NOT a minor difference if you look at reference pictures...
The painting job is remarkable here, and you can see the HB rivets are not at all annoying...
