I have just received these pictures of the Wingscale pre-production model built by Jereon Veen. It is on it's way to the Nuremburg Toyfair next week. The markings were painted on using Miracle Paint Masks (of course)

Yep, it's nice. I may have to evict my motorcycle from the garage to make room for one of these and one of their B-17s.

Yes I'm particularly pleased with the script as I didn't have the kit to work with, only a different, early mark, of the 1/48 Accurate Miniatures kit, that had the rear mounted upper gun turret. This meant that it was impossible to get the wings on the fuselage dead on, especially where the inner part is painted over the bullet catchers. When the kit is released and I get mine I'll be able to get that more accurate.

I think that you will agree how the painted on markings make such a difference, especially over that amount of surface detail (but I would say that ). I do know though that the kit comes with some excellent decals.

Hi Mal,

Wow, Jereon Veen's Wingscale B-25 looks fantastic. And you did a fine job on the masks!

I can't wait to see the model in the flesh in Nürnberg. I have already an appointment with M. Vrielink from Wingscale so your masks will surely be part of our conversation...

Hi Santa-Luc, thanks I have spoken to Martin (via email) about masks but I've heard nothing since and I don't want to badger him about the subject as I'm sure he has lots on his mind, like a huge B-17 and a P-61. Can you mention that a 1/32 scale Mosquito and Westland Whirlwind would be a couple of aircraft to consider (I won't give you my full list )

Hi Chuk, thanks those tail serials are the result of my new plotter, as are all the markings, it's far more accurate than the old one
