Hi everyone. I am building a 1:24 scale Spitfire VB and a Mk 2 Hurricane of the same scale. I have plans for adding these to dioramas and need some figures to give added interest. I am converting the pilots so they are standing looking on but I am having trouble with the ground crew. Reference materials are not the problem but finding suitable figures are.
Both models will have most hatches open to expose the engines and guns etc and I wanted to have ground crew carrying out fitting/maintenance on them. Anyone know where I can het something suitable? I have looked at the Preisser range and I suppose the Adam nude fugure could be used as a basis. I have also seen some RAF/Marine figures but these have thisk naval sweaters under the jackets.
Can anyone recommend anything else?
Thanks
Andy

Hi Andrew. I'm facing the same problem with my 1/24th VFS P-47 diorama, and I resorted to the Tamiya rally and racing car ground crew sets. I will modify them with some carving and sculpting to make them look like WWII ground crew.

Good luck with your search, D

I have been considering these. Are they any good for this?
Thanks Andy
