I'm interested in building a Griffon in 1/35 but i'm not sure what kit to use as a base. Is there something close out there?

Thanks,
Mark

The closest thing in 1/35 is Dragon's (formely Panda's) UH-1N.
You'll "only" need to scratch build the four bladed main rotor system (blades, mast, swashplates, cowlings ecc.).
A modeller from Austria has made a few of these conversions and "promised" us a resin conversion set, but we never heard from him again.

If you scale down to 1/48 there's Belcher Bits who makes a conversion set for Italeri's UH-1N and in 1/72 Italeri makes the AB-412 which is the european equivalent of the Griffon.

Thanks for the info. I'm going to have to wait till my skills improve then. I'm going to be stubborn and stick with 1/35 to go with my armour and other helos.

Thanks again,
Mark
