Hi everyone, here are photos of the WW1 airplanes I've built:

1/32 Academy Nieuport 17 in Billy Bishop's markings. (rigged with stretched sprue)

[

1/32 Hobbycraft SPAD XIII (recently rigged with .009" steel wire)

1/32 Hobbycraft Fokker F.1 (still needs rigging)

Hodson,
Your SPAD seat cushion and belts are really eye catching. I thought the "leather effect" was as good as it could get until I viewed your Bishop figure in the WWI figures photos you posted separately. Absolutely beatiful work! Where did the belts come from..............scratch/composite? Leather portions acrylic?

Keep those photos coming
Cheers,
Mgunns

Nice collection Hodson: I echo Lances sentiment on the Spad cushion, seat belts. I like those Hobby Craft kits. I like your streaking on the Fokker as well.

Best

Thanks very much folks. The SPAD seatbelt is masking tape with photoetch buclkles from a 1/35 accessory kit. Oil paints really help make leather look realistic.

The Hobbycraft SPAD is much nicer than the Hobbycraft Fokker. I have the Hobbycraft Camel unbuilt and it looks good too. I assume their Nieuport 17 isn't as nice as their more recent kits but I don't have it.
