Does anyone here want to step up to the plate and assume my duties as Aircraft Forum Moderator? I've been watching the forum since its inception mainly because when it was started, someone had to do it. I sent out a call to the other editors and staff to see if any of them wanted the duty.
I've seen many of you with superior knowledge aircraft knowledge than I'll ever have, but that isn't necessarily a criteria for being a forum moderator. The moderator should be fairly mature, a decent speller and sort of knowledgeable in helping newbies post links, photos, etc. in their posts. You also get to delete duplicate posts, move inappropriate posts to their proper place in the forums, as well as being able to edit or remove others' posts in this forum for language, harmful material and the like.
One of the benefits is that you get that neat little moderator ribbon that shows up next to your name (only in this forum though) and become one of Armorama's insider crowd.
It's not that much work, I just don't visit this forum as much as I do the armor forum. Send a message to Staff_Jim if you are interested.

I'll step up and volunteer as well, if Shonen doesn't take it. I've got mod experience from the MR2 board I frequent.

Crikey Vlady! Thanks for the compliment! :-)
My first choice would be also be Mal (Holdfast), because he's made such an outstanding contribution to the Aircraft side of Armorama.:-)
Having said that, if he's not interested, I'd be happy to have a try. :-)
All the best

Guys, I'd like to take this moment to say that there are plenty of people who could do this, but it's not a nominated position. This isn't something that is bestowed upon you and you are through with it like UOM. Rob asked for volunteers. If the ones you have nominated wish to step forward and volunteer that is great, but it may not be something they want to do or have time to do. Please stop nominating people and let anyone who wishes to volunteer themselves.

:-) Thanks for the votes guys
As Tim says though it is a volunteer position and one which I would love to do. However, if this last week is anything to go by, I just wouldn't be able to give the job and you guys the time you deserve. For the time being I will contribute as much as I can, when I can and of course help where ever I can. If the position comes around again, or a another moderator is required, hopefully I will be better placed.
