Ok so Ive been looking forward to this project for quite a while.I will be building two F-14's one A one B for the After Burner Decal Campaign and my Cats out of the bag Campaign.i will be using the following:
x2 Hasegawa F-14A kit#P19
x1 Aires F-14A cockpit set
x1 Aires F-14B cockpit set
x2 Eduard F-14A tomcat GRU7A ejection seat detail sets
x1 Wolfpack B conversion set
x1 Aires nozzles ffor F-14b
So lets get started Heres the stuff......
For the A i will be using the bird on the bottom from Afterburner Decals....
For the B I will be using the bird on the bottom from Fightertown Decals...
So over next few days I will start working on the cockpits and post updates along the way Hope you enjoy

Moving forward I've installed the cockpits,noses,gun vents and landing gear bays.
sanded up the seams and re scribed the lost detail next will be the canopy's.

Is there any chance I could get a set of the kits markings from you?
I'd like to do a Jolly Rogers A model.

Little update just sanding,sanding,sanding...............................yes still sanding.I love the result of these hasegawa f-14's but it definitely takes work to get there.after I re scribe i will post more pic's

here is some progress I have removed the nasty pin marks on the inside of the intakes glued them together and will start making them as smooth as a baby's butt soon and painting.Maybe adding the sensors on the bottoms.
Ive also added the beaver tails and removed and replaced the fuel dump pipes w/tubing.Yes the F-14A that Im building was late per decal instructions so it also has the ECM antenna.The F-14B also has inserts that go on the sides of the beaver tail.

And I'm to the point of the dreaded Hasa intakes but so far its going OK and I'm trying different methods this time in hopes that it will work out illustrated below.

progress has been slow because the intakes are causing ALOT of problems x4
