Hi all,

Sometimes you just feel you need a quick build to keep things ticking over (or what one of my friends calls some "wham-bam modelling"). I felt the urge to take this approach with the Eduard Fokker D.VII (OAW) in 1:48 scale, built out of the box, painted here in the markings of Gefreiter Michaelis of Jasta 13, Carigan airfield, late 1918. Fuselage markings were hand painted. Lozenge is Eagle Strike 4-colour (the kit lozenge had some of the colours mixed up...).

Quite a nice easy build (took around 3 weeks) - helped to remind me why modelling is supposed to be relaxing Next is on to some commission builds for a magazine... fun!

All feedback welcome.

Lovely, the finish is just so nicely toned and tied together.

Even OOB Brad does it again. Nicely done on the weathering. It adds real texture to your builds. If memory serves this is one of Ray Rimell's favorite scemes. He did his on the old DML kit.

Great job Brad!

Enjoyed the photos. The weathering is imo nice, hard to see, but it's there. Great build indeed!
