This came before I built up the sea dragon, and was my first crack at a helo model. It was a fun kit, and built up quickly. I tried using Tamiya colors, and with the low vis scheme on the decals they were a bit tough to see on the paint. It was a good starting point for me though, as usually I build models that I'd feel safe flying in... As they say, if it lacks wings it ain't safe. It was a fast build especially compared to the Sea Dragon. There was no lack of detail on the kit. This also marked the beginning of my experiance with artist oils, as I have not been content with the tamiya weathering kits, or using pastels, or technical pens. Had the decals shown a bit better, I would have done all of the stencilings, but the low vis was legitmately low vis, and at the time, I was hungrily eyeing the MH-53 kit. I aoologize if some of my pics were a bit flash dominated, and can take some more soon.
