The Airfix kit is ancient . Go with Revell or Hassy in 72nd or Tamiya

Personally I'd go for Revell, purely on value for money.
I don't know what prices are like in Australia, but in the UK the average price of the new Revell Lanc is slightly cheaper than Airfix's prehistoric kit, and well under half of the asking price of the Hasegawa. And from what I've seen of there doesn't seem to be much difference in detail and fit between the two.
If its 1:48 your after, Tamiya is the only game in town.

I have both the Revell and Has ones in front of me right now, both unstarted. if you are undecided i can probably take sprue shots if it may help. Or i can just give you a verbal description of the parts.

The most important thing here though is the Has one is double the price. From a brief look at the box, this is what i note:

The Hasegawa one looks to have finer engraved details, the wheels, guns and clear parts are much better.
The Revell one has engine details for engines 2 and 3.
The Revell one has a more detailed flight deck with moulded harnesses and instrument panel.
The engine nacelle intakes are different shapes - no idea who's is more accurate though.
Hasegawa's decals are better - indeed, my Revell ones are smudged so badly across half the sheet that they are unusable.

Another thing to be aware of is that Hasegawa produce 3 different kits for 3 versions: Bomber, Dambuster, Grand Slam. The Revell kit is just the standard bomber. Perhaps that is important to you.

Regards,

Lee
