Okay, i've been building models from about 20yrs, and i'll be darned if i STILL can't get the hang of filling and sanding with Squadron putty! Right now i'm working on the Revell 1/48th Do 217, and i'm trying to fill the seam on the fusalage. I lay on the squadron putty, even trying to push it down into the small seam with the x-acto blade. i let it dry, then start sanding. And darn it, i end up sanding off all the putty and the gap is still there!!!! I'm using the high grit testors wet/dry sand paper, although to be honest i'm not always using them wet.
Obviously i'm over sanding, but how do i avoid that? What are some methods that you guys use to get beautiful results, or is it just a "feel" thing?
