Hey Tazz, good deal. I buy cheap kits because I'm cheap. #:-) I've never turned down a half-price sale. Got Tamiya's F4U-1 Corsair, Monogram/Hasagawa's A-4E Skyhawk, and Monograms A-10 recently - all half-price, or as cheap as I could find it in the case of the Warthog. Today I got a trio of 1/72 PST KV-1's (those are Russian tanks for those of you who only speak Wingy-Thingey) for half off as well. Love hunting down those bargains!

Tazz, Good logic on using inexpensive kits for gaining skills. With the price of kits going so high 25, 30, 40...100 bucks! it makes sense to hone your skills on less expensive models if you can find them. Besides, there's real satisfaction in taking a cheap kit and really dolling it up and making it look like an expensive kit, right? I always shop around once I've gotten a notion to get a particular vehicle or aircraft and I usually go with the less expensive option.

Hey Tazz,
Besides a good price, those Hobbycraft 109's still stack up pretty well against the Hasegawa and Tamiya 109's.
And a lot of those Monogram 1/48 jets are still pretty hard to outclass.
Have fun
