Hi,
I hope someone can help me with a serial number on the tailfin of a VNAF B-57B "Canberra" bomber, in 3 color SEA camouflage. I know we have some Vietnam veterans on this forum, and who knows? maybe even some VNAF vets. I'm trying to print a decal for the Airfix B-57 I just ordered. I found a photo online ,which is blurred, but the caption says the s/n was 52-1532.

http://www.talkingproud.us/Military/Blindbat/Blindbat.html

Now, I need to know, what do I print? Should the number on the tailfin read 52-1532? Is it 521532, without the hyphen? Or, just 1532? Can anyone tell me?

Am I being too anal about this? Because I actually have a spare decal, for a VNAF Skyraider, with the letters VNAF, and below, the serial number 42034, which I can always use, if I can't determine the corrrect serial number. But I really want my model to be authentic! Am I being a "rivet counter"?

B-57B s/n 52-1532:

*USAF 3510th Combat Crew Training Wing, at Randolph AFB, TX.
*1960: USAF 90th Bomb Squadron (3rd BW), at Johnson AB, Japan.
*4/1964: USAF 8th Bomb Squadron, at Clark AB, Philippines.
*Transferred to the South Vietnamese AF.
*Lost in combat at an unknown date. With the SVAF?

The VNAF tail number would be 0-21532.
