This is Tamiya's 1/48 Fw190A-3, built out of the box but I have masked and painted on all the markings, including the Eagle motif and the "No Walk" dashed lines. I think that the dashes actually want to be a little bigger with a slightly larger gap between them. These are a scale 20mmx15mm with a 15mm gap. There are 1 or 2 dashes missing (prototypical ) but the hardest part about using these masks was the "weeding". If I make them slightly larger weeding will be easier. I cocked up the swastikas but, as per my instructions, I was able to remove them and I will be trying again.

In fact, its really good to see you building!,,is this another one thats being built at work?
Looks really good, are you having any success cutting serial numbers in 1:48th?

Hi Nige,
No I haven't been building this at work, it was started quite some time ago but I wasn't happy with the original masks for it. As I need more models for my trade stand at Telford I decided, as it was painted and waiting for markings, I'd see about getting it finished
Hi Chuk, yep the new machine that Millie insisted that I get works wonders, here are a few more pics, I didn't cock up the swastikas this time and I found that I need to alter my instructions

Hi Alexander,
Well yes they are home made but I do supply paint masks to order as Miracle Paint Masks, see my avatar. At the beginning of this year I bought a new machine which is a professional model and I can now cut the likes of the "No Walk" dotted lines that you see here Actually everything is much better, far more precise
